ESC’s Plastic Free campaign educates residents on the dangers of plastics and the myths of recycling. The campaign supports participants in making behavioral changes to reduce and eliminate the use of plastics.

For over a decade ECS Founder, Bainy Suri worked on the passage of State wide legislation on plastics in New Jersey. She authored the first draft ordinance in the State for Princeton.

After a decade of activism, Governor Murphy signed the Plastic Pollution Reduction Act (PPRA) on November 4, 2020. It is the strictest plastic pollution legislation in the nation. It prohibits the use or sale of single-use plastic carryout bags and polystyrene foam food service products and limits the use of single-use plastic straws.

Non-Toxic New Jersey campaign offers education on the harmful effects of toxins we encounter in our every day lives. We are partnering with Non-Toxic Neighborhoods and Founder Kim Konte. The campaign evolved from a 8 hour day program called GARDEN State Organics created for The New Jersey Environmental Lobby in 2019. It advocated for organic land care education for municipalities and their employees.

Zero Waste JerZ is a campaign designed to reduce and eliminate food waste by teaching participants how to dispose of food scraps and leaves in an organic, fossil free manner. We will be promoting the campaign and our workshops.
